Active Threat Preparation

Event Date:
January 21, 2020 11:45am
Presenter:
Sgt. Joshua Clayton

Josh has been with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department since 2005.  He will present on Active Threat Preparation. The content is designed to empower those in attendance to become their own first responders, preparing them to act appropriately in case they are ever faced with an active threat situation.  Participants will learn about the history of active threat events, what "Run, Hide, Fight" actually means and how to successfully implement it, and get training in tactical trauma first aid.

He is SWAT Team Leader, attending and presenting active shooter trainings for over 10 years.  In 2015 he graduated law school and passed the California Bar Exam.  In his spare time he hangs with his small dog and rides around on an electric skateboard.
