Eric Partenheimer of United Rentals discusses confined spaces in construction.
Eric has been with United Rentals Trench Safety division for fourteen years initially serving as an outside sales representative, and most recently as a District Trainer. He was a part of the team that developed the first URTS Confined Space course.
Prior to his career in trench safety, Eric was an EMT Advanced Life Support provider for five years and a Teaching Assistant for the EMT program at a junior college for eight years. Using that prior experience has been helpful being able to partner with Fire Training officers and offer Excavation/Trench Rescue Competent Person for Fire Departments.
Eric was certified to train Competent Person for Excavation Safety, and Confined Space Entry classes through the OSHA Institute of San Diego. He is also an authorized outreach instructor for both OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 along with the Cal OSHA 10 hour course.
Living in California with his wife, four children and two grandchildren and two dogs, he enjoys volunteering in his community, playing softball, camping and anything else outdoors-related.
